February 16, 2013 5TH ANNUAL WISCONSIN PROGRESSIVE GRASSROOTS FESTIVAL 9AM-4PM

(Mazomanie)“Strengthening our Democracy” is the theme of this year’s energetic, interactive event which brings together well over 100 folks to share their political action plans for the future. The event will be held at Wisconsin Heights High School, 10173 State Hwy 14, Mazomanie, WI 53560. U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan is the luncheon speaker. Mike McCabe of the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign and Lisa Graves of the Center for Media and Democracy are the keynoters. Morning and afternoon breakout sessions will focus on a wide range of topics -- sand mines, how to run for office, the upcoming Supreme Court Election, gun control, political organizing, capitalism and freedom revisited, and many more. Participants can pick their topics. $14 is the suggested donation, which includes lunch. Registration is from 8:30 to 9:20 a.m. Dinner follows at the Old Feed Mill, 114 Cramer St. in Mazomanie.
