February 16, 2019 ESL Tutor Training Noon to 3PM

(Darlington) THREE VOLUNTEER ESL TUTORS FOR ADULT STUDENTS ARE NEEDED NOW IN DARLINGTON The MultiCultural Outreach Program (MCOP) is offering a free English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor training on Saturday, February 16 from noon to 3 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1302 Clay Street in Darlington. Here’s a great way to “give back.” MCOP works with adults, our newest immigrant neighbors who are eager to learn English. Currently, Darlington has a long wait list of students. Current tutors are also welcome to join the group -- to sharpen their skills and/or present their most successful lessons in this interactive workshop setting. Tutors don’t need to speak a foreign language to become a tutor. They’ll learn how to overcome the language barrier during the training and make new friends while doing it.
