February 17, 2017 High Voltage Lines Cuts Through Driftless Area 7PM

(Barneveld) PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETINGS ON HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL HIGH-VOLTAGE TRANSMISSION LINES PLANNED TO CUT THROUGH DRIFTLESS AREA All Driftless Area residents need to know about the proposed construction of huge, expensive new high-voltage transmission powerlines, planned by the American Transmission Co. (ATC). These towering lines would cut a 125-mile long swath through parks, private property and sensitive environmental areas throughout the Driftless area, forcing rate-payers to foot higher monthly bills for years to come. The Feb. 17 Barneveld meeting at 7 p.m. will at the American Legion hall, 102 Wood St. The Feb. 18 Spring Green meeting at 2 p.m. will be at Arcadia Books, 102 E. Jefferson.
