MAKING CHANGE HAPPEN: The 2nd Annual RIVER VALLEY GRASSROOTS� FESTIVAL

Tammy Baldwin will headline the "2nd Annual River Valley Grassroots Festival" in Mazomanie, speaking at noon. This jam-packed day includes outstanding morning and afternoon breakout sessions on 17 different topics -- education reform, regional transit planning, framing issues, adding passion to social justice issues, improving vehicle fuel economy, understanding Afghanistan, health care reform, organizing for action, climate change, running for office, the economic mess: how do we fix it?, grassroots organizing, practical solar power and more. Ed Garvey and Mike McCabe, a champion of campaign finance reform, will speak in the morning.

LOCATION: Wisconsin Heights High School, on Hwy. 14 between Black Earth and Mazomanie.
