(Mineral Point)JULY 27-29th THE BLOCKBUSTER CLIMATE-CHANGE FILM “CHASING ICE” TO BE SHOWN AT THE OPERA HOUSE Award-winning National Geographic photographer James Balog headed to the Arctic on a tricky assignment: to capture images to tell the story of the Earth's changing climate. Balog had been a skeptic about climate change. But that first trip north and others that followed opened his eyes to what some are calling “the biggest story in human history” and sparked a challenge within him that would put his career and his very well-being at risk. Co-sponsored by Grassroots Citizens of Wisconsin, “Chasing Ice” will be shown as part of the Driftless Film Festival at the Opera House in Mineral Point, on Friday, July 27 and Saturday., July 28, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, July 29 at 3 p.m. ($6) Buy on-line or at the door.
