Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is speaking at the Williams Fieldhouse on the UWP Campus. Let us know by return e-mail ([email protected])if you are interested in carpooling from Spring Green or Dodgeville.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the spring 2010 distinguished lecturer. Classes will be cancelled from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday, March 26 to accommodate the presentation that will be held in Williams Fieldhouse on the UWP campus. A press conference prior to the presentation will be held from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the Computer Conference Room of the Pioneer Student Center and a book signing will follow the lecture at 11:45 a.m. in Heritage Hall in the PSC. This event is free and student and community members are invited to attend. Two of Kennedy's books, "Crimes Against Nature" and "The Riverkeepers: Twp Activists Fight To Reclaim Our Environment As A Basic Human Right" will be available in the University Bookstore in late January.

To me he is our top environmental hero/advocate of the day -- a wise, tireless fighter against dirty air and water which have given us such terrible rates of asthma and allergies."
