October 22, 2012 Meet 51st & 81st Assembly Candidates

The River Valley Board of Education and River Valley Education Association will be sponsoring a political forum for the four candidates running for the state Assembly in our area on October 22, 2012, from 7 to 9 PM in the River Valley High School Little Theater (660 Varsity Ave, Spring Green, WI). Participating in the event will be Howard Marklein, the Republican incumbent, and his challenger, Maureen May-Grimm, running as a Democrat in District 51. Due to the recent redistricting of the State Assembly areas, an eastern portion of the River Valley School District is now in District 81. Fred Clark, is the Democratic incumbent in that newly drawn district and his challenger is Scott Frostman who is running as a Republican.

All four candidates will be in attendance. Ron Fruit, from WRCO radio, will serve as moderator. After a brief introduction by each candidate, they will be asked some prepared questions, but the bulk of the evening will be questions from the audience. Everyone is cordially invited to attend, bring your questions, and meet the candidates.
