September 28, 2012 Schultz in Viola, Fennimore, Dodgeville and Mineral Point

Senator Dale Schultz will be in Viola, Fennimore, Dodgeville and Mineral Point on Friday, September 28.

Dale will start the day in Viola from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Lowe Manufacturing Company, owned by Richard and Mary Lowe. The stop is a Richland Alliance Community Business Outreach, with participants from the county, region and state. The company is a global leader in hydraulic-powered auger and trencher attachments for the global skid steer loader industry. In Fennimore, at 11:30, Dale will be at the Fennimore Produce Auction Cooperative, 14800 County Road T. The Fennimore auction sets prices for a range of products and is a vital part of the state’s local foods movement. Dale’s next stop in Fennimore will lunch at the Silent Woman Restaurant, 1094 Lincoln Avenue, from 12:15 to 1:15 with community members. To join Dale and friends for a Dutch Treat lunch, contact Linda Parrish at the Fennimore Chamber of Commerce, 608.822.3599.

Dale’s last stop in Fennimore will be at Southwest Technical College for a tour of the new Public Safety Complex with Southwest Tech President Duane Ford. That stop will be from 1:30 to 3:00. For information, call Derek Dachelet at Southwest Tech, 608.732.6276.

Dale will be in Dodgeville from 4:00 to 5:00 meeting with Iowa County Sheriff Steve Michek at the Sheriff’s Department, 1205 N. Bequette Street. Iowa County and Michek have been leaders in adopting the new, statewide emergency and disaster radio system called WisCom.

In Mineral Point, Schultz will have supper with community members from 5:30 to 6:45 at the Pointer Café, 809 Ridge Street. Community members are welcome to join Schultz for a Dutch Treat supper, no RSVP necessary.

Schultz will end the day at Pendarvis, a premier Wisconsin Historic Site, on Shake Rag Street in Mineral Point. Schultz will participate in the annual Cornish Culture Festival which is open to the public from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. For information, call Pendarvis at 987-2122.
