Our Grassroots Interest Groups spring from our members who choose to direct their energy toward particular concerns. We are always on the look out for emerging issues and people willing to form new interest groups.

Sustain Iowa County
Sustain Iowa County
is a group of citizens deeply concerned about the effect of carbon emissions on global warming and is actively working to implement initiatives that would reduce emissions. Grassroots Citizens for Peace
Grassroots Citizens for Peace
is engaged in heightening awareness of techniques and developments that can lead to peaceful solutions throughout the world. See current Action Alerts and Upcoming Events at the Citizens for Peace page.

Immigration Group
Grassroots Immigration Group is establishing a Multicultural Outreach Program to link our immigrant neighbors with the help they need, whether legal or tax advice, interpretation/translation, information or advocacy A vital activity of this program is helping our adult neighbors learn English with an English-as-a-Second Language (ESL) tutoring program for southwest Wisconsin. Health Care Reform
Our Health Care Task Force is working hard, in partnership with other community organizations, to implement the Affordable Care Act by helping people sign up for the Federal Health Care Exchange. We are also actively engaged in encouraging people to consider their choices for end-of-life care, working with Uplands Hills Health to initiate their Honoring Choices program. SOS: Support our Schools
SOS:Support our Schools is a group of non-partisan parents, grandparents and residents who are concerned about the future of Wisconsin's public schools. Our public schools have always been, and still are, EXCEPTIONAL - and we want to keep it that way. For more information see the Support Our Schools page.

How to start a new interest group
