April 10, 2011 Stones into Schools Cultural Celebration 2-5PM

DODGEVILLE, THE STONES INTO SCHOOLS ALL-COMMUNITY READ CULMINATING EVENT at Folklore Village. People of all ages are invited to this wonderful �Community Conversation and Cultural Celebration� at Folklore Village, 3210 County B (east of Dodgeville, off of Hwy. 151)

Uplands Stones into Schools Community Read Cultural Celebration

On Sunday afternoon, April 10th, at Folklore Village there will be a culminating plenary composed of the inter-generational participants from all of the �Uplands Stones into Schools Community Read� projects. Youth will be invited to share informational or artistic materials that they have created as a result of their study of Mortenson�s books. Dr. Vincent Kavaloski will facilitate a community wide dialogue in which participants share what they have learned through their readings and discussions. University of Wisconsin professor, Dr. Joseph Elder, will be a consultant answering participants� questions about Afghanistan and Pakistan. In addition there will be the opportunity to experience some of the music, dance and food of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
