April 10, 2017 DNR Annual Conservation Congress Meetings 7PM

(Baraboo, Darlington, Dodgeville) VITAL ANNUAL CONSERVATION CONGRESS held in each county Everyone concerned with statewide conservation policy such as hunting and fishing regulations, water quality standards, high capacity well issues, Chronic Wasting Disease policy, public lands and state parks should plan to actively participate in these annual events which are held 7 p.m. on April 10 in every county. In Sauk County it will be held at UW Baraboo – Giese Lecture Hall A4, 1006 Connie Road; in Iowa County at the Dodgeville Middle School, 951 W. Be sure to read the questionnaire ahead of time. These county hearings guide the decision-making in the DNR and the Natural Resources Board and can affect the decisions of the legislature.

First thing on the agenda will be the delegate election to the Conservation Congress. Each county will elect five. Be sure to check out their credentials before the meeting if possible – or listen at the meeting. New candidates are encouraged to step forward.
