February 9, 2013 Iowa County Citizen Climate Lobby 7PM
(Dodgeville) The Iowa County CCL (Citizens Climate Lobby) Monthly Chapter meeting will be on Sat., Feb. 9th at 7PM at Chuck and Karen Tennessen's Friendly Abode, 3893 Mill Creek Rd. Dodgeville, WI. (To RSVP or if you need directions call (608)987-3835).
1. We'll hear Dr. Martin Tresguerres, Scripps Institution of Oceanography
address climate change's "evil twin" ocean acidification and it's effect on coral reefs. He’ll share some preliminary findings from his recent study.
2. We'll practice the monthly "laser talk" to become more effective speakers about climate change and fee and dividend legislation.
3. The action item will be to write letters to the editor responding to President Obama’s State of the Union address or to ask senators to join Sen. Boxer’s climate change clearinghouse.
