November 6, 2010 Mary Louise Symon Prairie Planting - Ice Age Junction

12 noon to 4 pm and 8220 Raymond Road, Madison, WI. The Dane County Park Commission has dedicated a prairie in honor of Mary Louise Symon. The prairie is in the process of restoration. The dedicated area is 48 acres and is part of the larger Ice Age Junction Natural Resource Area. The Ice Age Trail currently runs along the northern end of the dedicated area. A future bicycle/pedestrian trail may also go through the area. A small parking lot with a kiosk will be constructed in the future.

Dress appropriate for the weather as this is outdoors.

Donations for the Mary Louise Symon Prairie will be accepted and will be used to help with the restoration efforts, the kiosk and a bench. Donations can be sent to Dane County Parks, 1 Fen Oak Court #234, Madison WI 53718
