October 30, 2013 Federal Online Health Insurance Clarified Noon-2PM

(Dodgeville) MISINFORMATION ABOUT THE FEDERAL ONLINE HEALTH INSURANCE MARKETPLACE TO BE ADDRESSED by local professionals.

At this free Dodgeville info session, to be held in the Community Room of the HSS Building, 303 West Chapel Street, local health care and social service professionals will address important questions about the NEW Health Insurance Marketplace. (A second session will be held on Wed., Oct. 30 from noon to 2 p.m. at same location.)

Questions to be addressed: Where can I find local help to navigate the Marketplace? Why does everyone need health insurance? Who is eligible for the Marketplace? Will the Marketplace benefit my small business? What does a health insurance policy look like? Am I eligible for subsidies to pay for a health care insurance policy? How can I stretch my budget to pay for health insurance? Where can I find access to a computer locally? Those presenting will be Marlin Harms of the Iowa County Social Services Department, Ruth Schriefer of UW Extension, Nancy Howard, Brian Lundell of Lundell Insurance, Molly Zuehlke of the Community Connections Free Clinic and Lola Gregg, Americorps volunteer. “At these free information sessions we are hoping to help people cut through the misinformation about the Marketplace which is all over the news and the Internet,” said Molly Zuelke, of the Community Connections Free Clinic in Dodgeville.
